In week two of Misquoted, we take on a phrase our whole culture believes and treats like Scripture: God just wants me happy. But God never said that. “God Just Wants Me Happy” exposes what happens when happiness becomes the goal, because then God becomes the means to get there, and the moment following Jesus costs us something we start to question Him or walk away. God is not committed to your comfort, He is committed to your transformation, and He will not bless what feels good now but leads you to harm later.
