In week three of Misquoted, we close the series with a phrase people offer as comfort and treat like Scripture: God will never give you more than you can handle. But God never said that. “God Will Never Give You More Than You Can Handle” traces the verse back to where it actually lives, a promise about temptation in 1 Corinthians 10, and shows that all through Scripture God brings people to the very end of themselves. He will allow more than you can carry, on purpose, not to crush you but to break your self-reliance and reveal His power in your weakness.
