In this message Associate Pastor Mark Urquhart draws the line between happiness and joy, because happiness rides on circumstances and comes and goes, but joy is rooted in Christ and remains. It is not something that happens to you, it is something that grows in you, and Jesus shows us how when He calls Himself the vine and us the branches. We bear this fruit not by trying harder but by remaining in Him, and joy actually grows deepest in difficult soil, where trials produce the perseverance that makes us mature and complete.
